Many Realtors during the hay days of the last bubble run up, were so busy selling homes that they had little if any time to exercise. But now, things have changed and times are tougher, so real estate professionals now need to knock on more doors and canvass more neighborhoods, even go to a few garage sales, block parties, HOA meetings or community committee meetings.
What a great opportunity to lose weight and get back into shape, after all getting fat is not going to help you make it thru those long days pounding-the-pavement. Some say the average Realtor has not only come into harder financial times, but are at risk in becoming Diabetic. They must eat right, walk more and concentrate on staying fit. Perhaps, buy a mountain bike and cruise around neighborhoods on the weekends with some extra business cards?
Gym Memberships generally go on sale around March, due to all the New Year's Resolution dropouts, but if you look really out of shape and fat, you probably want to get back into shape a little before you hit the gym, so they don't laugh at you. (for your physical appearance). If you get in shape now you will be ready in 5-years for the next real estate run-up. If not you will have huge medical issues and will not be able to join in.
How many of you actually work out each day? How many of you go to a gym? How many of you realize that you must do something about this or you will slide downhill in your health faster than the market? Something to contemplate in 2008.
